This will depend on the desired position you are looking for. If you’ve never worked in lawn care before or it has been awhile, there are a few positions that might be of interest to you. We will take a look at technician positions as well as crew leaders and small engine mechanic positions. You will even learn of the benefits our company offers.

Lawn Technicians

Lawn technicians drive to the customer’s home or property. From there, they will take on the lawn aeration, fertilization, spraying weeds, insect control and other related lawn services. Westside Grounds offers training to the right applicants.

Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader

The person in this position must be confident in their abilities to repair irrigation systems, including troubleshooting, valve locating and repair, proper system design, and installation techniques.

Sprinkler Technician

A sprinkler technician’s responsibilities include a thorough understanding of sprinkler systems. The right person should have the ability to repair and install various types of sprinkler systems.

Crew Leaders

Crew leaders should have substantial knowledge and experience in all aspects of landscaping as well as understanding landscaping practices. Previous management experience is a plus when applying for this type of position.

Small Engine Mechanic

This position requires experience working with commercial mowers, ATVs, weed-eaters, edgers, blowers, do basic truck maintenance and should be able to Mig and Tig weld. They should know how to use and maintain various types of commercial mowers, including standing, walk-behind, and riding mowers. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to work on weed-eaters, edgers, and blowers along with ATVs and pickup trucks.
